If you buy ready-made products, remember to pay special attention to its composition; it often happens that they are sweetened, frequently with fruit juices, they contain a lot of salt or preservatives. What works in favour of vegetable juice, aside from its limitless combination of tastes, is, in the first place, its price: is much lower than any finished product available on store shelves.

Vegetable juices instead of vegetables?

Scientists point to some bothersome regularity. Today hardly anyone eats the recommended daily dose of vegetables, which is five portions. And as we know, consumption of vegetables is essential to prevention of many serious diseases and medical conditions (including heart and circulatory system disorders). It was noticed that in the group of adult volunteers taking part in the experiment drinking of vegetable juice on a regular basis for a period of 12 weeks led to decrease in blood hypertension. Some more research should be made also on other social groups, nevertheless, it is believed that consumption of vegetable juice can bring similar health benefits to eating vegetables. It is also noted that similar observations do not apply to fruit juices, in which case excessive consumption may contribute to the development of overweight and obesity, as well as other ailments.
