The issue is that many of our habits and behavioral patterns lead to health issues, obesity and poor body composition. No miracle pills or temporary ‚purges‘ in your diet will not provide you with long-term results. The only solution is to identify your unhealthy habits and behaviours and modyfy them or swap for new patterns – which requires work and patience. Here are some examples of unhealthy habits, which we nurture for years, often not realizing their detrimental impact on our health and appearance.
1.1.1. „I deserve to have a sweet treat“
We get our first sweet rewards for our bigger or smaller successess from our parents or grandparents, later starting to do that ourselves. The consequences of enforcing such behavior is not only a growing waistline and issues with excess fat, but also increases the tendency to emotional eating – a psychological disorder which makes working on your physique much harder. Sometimes the problem might be so advanced that you will need the assistance of an appropriate therapist. But if you manage to realize you’re celebrating each success with sweets or fast food and you’ll swap food for something that is not eatable – the chances for success rise. You can award yourself in many various ways, adjusting the reward to your preferences – be it clothes, books, cosmetics, diet suplements or sports gadgets. The important part is that they make you happy.
1.1.2 „How could I pass on this bargain?“
There’s nothing wrong in trying to be frugal with food or attempting to shop bargain. Regardless, losing your head while shopping is a frequent issue and we tend to buy products that aren’t nutritionally balanced but empty calories (usually sweets of all sorts). Because, let’s face it – how to resist the attractive price and just walk by? You simply can’t…This is also where the need to stock up comes from – you know, piling up the kind of stock that is supposed to be only for special occassions, but gets munched up when the first excuse appears. For this reason it’s worth to keep your control mechanisms in check, prepare shopping lists and not invest in low quality food only because there price is attractive.
The truth is that these special offers are present in the supermarkets, and the ability to ignore them can prove to be exceptionally precious in the context of improving your physique and losing the extra inches.

Not everyone seems to believe that words have power. Highlighting your drawbacks and weak points, speaking of them often – also during generic small talk - can result only in unpleasant consequences. As a general rule, it seems that women are more prone to tear themselves down, but in the world overrun by the cult of a beautiful body it is not uncommon for men to also enforce this negative mindset . Even though this kind of behaviour is usually meant to be taken as a joke, it not only lowers our self esteem and drive to act, but also demotivates us from doing anything. It’s worth to practice thinking about your strong points, also in the context of your appearance, and approach the areas that require improvement as a challenge. Otherwise, you're setting yourself on the way to failure never getting the results you want.
A „normal“ diet might be full of bad patterns, and their effect the health and appearance is often overlooked. It’s worth to take a note on what contributes to the deterioration of our health and appearance and react.
